Q: If you weren't working for Martins Dental Parters, what would your dream job be?
A: If I was not working for MDP my dream job would be working as a social worker with a minor degree in behavioral health counciling.
Q: Other than MDP, what is your favorite Beverly MA location?
A: My favorite Beverly MA spots are Lynch Park and City Side Diner. In the morning I sometimes go and grab a quick, and wicked cheap breakfast at City Side Diner. I enjoy Lynch Park in the summer time because there's always some kind of event going on like lobster fest and homecoming. I also think it's awesome they still host movie nights on the lawn under the dome.
Q: Who is the most influential person in your life?
A: I can't pick a single perso - my parents and my two brothers have all influenced me in different ways. If is was not for watching my parents grow and work to better themselves everyday, and them pushing me to continue with school, I probably would not be a LDA experiencing this awesome opportunity at MDP. My younger brothers were both born with developmental disabilities and autism, and growing up I saw how hard life was for them so they are the influence in me pursuing my education in mental health and social work at SNHU.
Q: Whats the best advice you've ever received?
A: Save every penny
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the word, where would it be?
A: If I could travel anywhere in the world I would go to Japan. I was just talking with a patient about an upcoming trip to Japan he has planned with his daughter. While in Japan they're taking the time to hike Mount Fuji, 6 hours up and 5 back down, to see the sunset. That is something I would love to experience!

If the thought of spending an hour at the gym using complicated equipment makes you run for the hills, consider getting fit in more fun ways. Biking is great because it can be tailored to your personal fitness level. Conquering hills and reaching higher speeds can challenge you to push harder. If you need to take it slow, even a relaxing bike ride can burn around 281 calories per hour, according to Men's Fitness. Although you can use a stationary bike at the gym or in your home, getting on the real thing and enjoying the great outdoors is more fun! You can bike the road or sidewalk, or you can bike a trail.
With a little practice, you can utilize a hula hoop for a fun full-body workout. Udemy notes that hula hooping uses as many as 30 of your muscles, including your back, abs, thighs, and calves. A hula hoop workout that integrates your arms and legs can burn up to 600 calories in an hour. Being in water also means less wear and tear on your joints, and the arm motions of swimming will work muscles that are generally hard to exercise. While all exercises release endorphins that help lower stress levels, swimming releases its own special endorphins that are guaranteed to help you feel relaxed.

Dr. Sukhpreet Heer, a licensed general dentist, joined Martins Dental Partners after relocating to Massachusetts from Northern California, where she practiced following dental school.
Dr. Heer knew dentistry was her calling after working in dental laboratories and shadowing dentists during college. She enjoys working with patients of all ages and comfort-levels, but particularly loves helping kids feel at ease throughout their treatment.
Dr. Heer believes in fostering a close working relationship with her patients to help develop personalized treatment plans suited to their needs and goals. She is passionate about patient-centered care and is excited to be part of a practice that values and prioritizes this approach to dentistry.
Dr. Heer lives in Lynnfield with her husband and enjoys baking, hiking and yoga in her free time.
Q: If you weren’t working for Martins Dental Partners, what would your dream job be?
A: I'd be a Baker - I have a huge sweet tooth and am always looking for ways to make some of my favorite treats a little healthier. Lately, I’ve been working on a double chocolate zucchini bread recipe, which is still a work in progress.
Q: If you could travel to anywhere in the world, where would it be?
A: I'd love to visit Santorini - The whitewashed villages carved into cliffs against the turquoise Aegean Sea looks absolutely beautiful. A view like that instantly puts me in a state of tranquility.
Q: What are you currently reading?
A: Rafik Schami’s Damascus Nights - I came across this book while browsing through a used bookstore in Gloucester with my husband. The book is an interesting read about Salim, the most famous storyteller in Damascus who loses his voice and his seven friends who help him find it.
Q: What’s your favorite inspirational quote?
A: “Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.” – Rumi
