Kira has been a part of the Martins Dental Partners team from the beginning, serving as the practice’s insurance coordinator on a part-time basis. Her extensive knowledge in the intricacies of dental insurance and over 20 years’ experience as office manager in a private dental practice make her an invaluable member of the administrative team. She began her dental career as a dental assistant after moving to the North Shore area of Massachusetts from Kiev, Ukraine in 1989. When her boss and now close family friend saw her ability to help patients understand the financial aspect of their treatment plans and how they could apply their insurance benefits to help maximize their dental treatment value, he moved Kira into a management position. Her ears of experience working with hundreds of different insurance plans makes her skills vital to the treatment planning process, which is the backbone of patient wellness and care at Martins Dental Partners.
While she is proud of her professional achievements, Kira is even prouder to be Dr. Valerie Martins’ mother. Kira is delighted that Dr. Martins followed her career path in dentistry and now enjoys spending time working with her in the practice. In her spare time, Kira enjoys babysitting her two grandchildren, taking walks on the beach in Swampscott, MA, and spending time with friends exploring museums and local art shows.
