Dr. David Konefal, a licensed general dentist, joined the Martin’s Dental Partners team after practicing in the Boston area for the last 5 years. Originally from Westfield, MA, Dr. Konefal currently resides in Salem, MA and is happy to call the North Shore his home!
Dr. Konefal was inspired by his hometown dentist and hopes to emulate the same kindness and care to all his patients in Beverly.
In his spare time, Dr. Konefal enjoys spending time with his wife Kaela traveling, watching Boston College football and making pizza!
Q: If you weren’t working for Martins Dental Partners, what would your dream job be?
A: Professional golfer. I could work outside, travel to beautiful places, and get paid to play golf. I would play on weekdays and, if things go well, play a little more on weekends.
Q: What is one unique skill that you’re proud of?
A: I make my own pizza dough and sauce. The Konefal household takes pizza very seriously and we have a recipe book that includes our attempts to create the best homemade pie.
Q: What’s your favorite inspirational quote?
A: “Don’t give up, don’t ever give up” – Jim Valvano, Championship coach and leader of young men on the basketball court. He is forever an inspiration to all battling cancer and medical hardships.
Q: If you could travel to anywhere in the world, where would it be?
A: Vineyards in Italy. I’m told that red wine is good for my heart. I would love to see the sights, drink the wine (especially Chianti Classico), and live like the locals.
Q: What are you currently reading?
A: Fire & Blood by George R.R. Martin. This book is a prequel to all of the events that occur in his “A Song of Ice and Fire” series. I was bit by HBO’s “Game of Thrones” bug in dental school and remain fascinated with the series. I am amazed by the characters, plot, and Martin’s willingness to upset readers and viewers with diabolical twists.
