Torrie, a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH), earned her Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene at Mount Ida College. In her role as a Registered Dental Hygienist, Torrie has the privilege of developing close relationships with each patient who visits Martins Dental Partners and makes patients feel comfortable and relaxed with her friendly and outgoing personality. “When I was young, I was always afraid of the dentist and of getting my teeth cleaned. Being able to relate to patients who share that fear was one of the primary reasons I became a Dental Hygienist. I strive to provide my patients with a calming and stress-free experience.” says Torrie.

In her spare time, Torrie enjoys spending time with her family including her grandmother who lives on the South Shore. She also loves dogs, especially her two Siberian Huskies Tasha and Denali, watching The Bachelor and listening to Fleetwood Mac.

Q: If you weren’t working for Martins Dental Partners, what would your dream job be?

A: If I wasn’t a Dental Hygienist I think my dream job would to be a yoga instructor, and to own my own yoga studio. Yoga is something I’ve always enjoyed doing and I think it would be very rewarding to be able to share my enthusiasm for it with other people.

Q: What’s your favorite inspirational quote?

A: My favorite inspirational quote is “The best view comes after the hardest climb.” This is my favorite quote because I can relate to the meaning behind it. I find that if I am going through something challenging, the end result is much more gratifying after having worked so hard to accomplish it.

Q: Who is the most influential person in your life and why?

A: It’s hard to pick one influential person in my life, I’d have to say my family has had the greatest influence in shaping me into the person I am today.

Q: If you could travel to anywhere in the world, where would it be?

A: One place I have always wanted to travel to is Barcelona in Spain. The main reason I’d love to go is because of the unique architecture. They have so many beautiful buildings and cathedrals. I’d also love to go shopping at Mercado de la Boqueria which is a giant food market.

Q: What are you currently reading?

A: I am currently not reading anything right now but I always enjoy reading something that makes me laugh. However, my favorite book is The Glass Castle written by Jeanette Walls. If you have any suggestions, let me know at your next visit!
