The day after Thanksgiving is an important day, too. It’s National Flossing Day!

All right, we understand that may not be the most important day of the year. It is a good time to remind ourselves of the steps we can take to fight gum disease, however.

Periodontal problems can and do lead to tooth loss and may contribute to other health problems, including heart disease and heart attacks. However, you can fight back by doing a few simple things:

  • Brush your teeth twice per day
  • Floss once per day
  • Visit us regularly for cleanings and exams

If you do have signs of gum disease — e.g. red, swollen, or bleeding gums — then you should contact us to get treatment. Call 978-288-1946 or use our online form to request an appointment at Martins Dental Partners in Beverly, MA.
